I often speak of 'us' and 'we', but Keelin Design is actually a one-woman show. From brainstorming about new collections, choosing and assembling all jewelry components; packing and shipping your order; the design of the website; keeping the webshop up-to-date; the (product) photography; scheduling social media; replying to all messages and e-mails;...: It's all me! Under the motto 'perfectly imperfect' of course, but hey, practice makes progress!
First things first: What is Keelin Design?
Keelin Design is a Belgian jewelry brand, started in October 2014, with Ellen Kennes as founder and jewelry designer. It is an online jewelry store where you can find a wide range of earrings, bracelets, necklaces, jewelry sets and rings, specially designed and handpicked to make you shine.
What does Keelin Design stand for?
I help women make a statement and feel empowered by offering jewelry that fits their own style and emphasizes their unique personality.
What do the Keelin Design collections look like?
Our collections consist of 3 major categories:
"Essentials" => Sometimes, all you need is a timeless jewel to brighten up your everyday outfit. That's why the Keelin Design "Essentials" collection is all about beautiful simplicity.
"Limited Series" => With a nice variety of shapes, styles and colors, these items are the perfect jewels to upgrade your look. DThe jewellery from our "Limited Series" is only made in limited numbers.
"Unique" => Express yourself with our unique jewelry. They are perfectly imperfect and completely unique, just like you. There is only one item of each jewel made. So know that when you buy a piece of jewellery from our "Unique" collection, you are the only one on the planet wearing this little piece of art. Each jewel truly is a unique piece!

What materials are used to make the jewelry?
Stainless steel - I only use premium stainless steel which will not tarnish or scratch easily. Go for a durable choice by wearing this solid, recyclable and hypoallergenic material.
Nickel, lead and cadmium free metal - This affordable and certified material adds a trendy touch to jewelry design. All jewelry components are of high quality.
16K or 18K gold plated or rhodium plated brass - For creating a more luxurious look without the cost of pure gold, this tarnish-resistant material is the perfect alternative to make sophisticated jewelry.
Wood - All wooden jewelry parts are laser cut and hand painted. They are handcrafted in the nicest designs and colors, all by my hands.
(Liquid) Polymer clay - (Liquid) Polymer clay is a very versatile material. It gives me the opportunity to make high-quality products that last a long time.
UV-hars - To create more depth, to add sparkling glitter or to provide a jewel with a nice shiny finish, I like to work with UV resin. It is a completely safe and non-toxic material.
(Semi) Precious stones - Symbolism in jewelry is something I absolutely love. That's why I love working with gemstones. Each stone is unique and has its own special meaning/power.
